**I am emailing a link of this to everyone on the class list every week. If you are not receiving these emails or want to have them sent to another email address feel free to email me at jpmccarthymaths@gmail.com and I will add you to the mailing list.**

## Manuals

The manuals are available in the Copy Centre and must be purchased immediately. They are prices at €7.50. You also need to purchase graph paper.

## Week 2

We revised MATH6000 material and introduced frequency distributions. We saw how to construct a frequency distribution, we saw a stem-and-leaf plot, we saw a histogram, an ogive. We saw how to calculate the mean of a frequency distribution and also how to calculate the median — both graphically (with an ogive) and via a formula.

## Week 3 and Beyond

We will have a fully-blown Excel lab. We will also learn how to find mode — both graphically (using a histogram) and with a formula — of a frequency distribution. We will learn how to find the standard deviation, the Interquartile Range (graphically and with a formula), the coefficient of variation and the skewness.

We will then do four full exam questions and then spend a lot of time letting you work on this material so that you will be very well prepared for your test in Week 7.
