Catch Up Lecture

We will not have MATH6055 class next Friday, 09:00, 25 October.

I would like to catch up on this after the reading break. Please click here and fill out your preference between the times. I know ye are all free at this times and it is just a case of picking the most popular time.

Week 6

We finished Chapter 2 with a Concept MCQ on Functions Theory, and moved onto Algebra.

Week 7

In Week 7 we started delving more into algebra and started talking about equations.

Test 2

Test 2, based on Chapter 3: Algebra, will take place around the end of Week 10, start of Week 11. About two weeks after we finish Chapter 3.

If you join you will have have consented to be a member of this group. This group is supposed to be like a WhatsApp group but with some added privacy.

You should be able to leave whenever you want. If you feel this is working well for you, invite more colleagues.

You can ask anything you want about MATH6055 in the group. I recommend using photos to highlight exercises or your efforts, etc. As the best way to learn is to teach, ideally other students in the group will answer questions. Every morning I will answer unanswered questions.

It is good to put some humanity into everything we do, but do not even approach the line of inappropriateness. Keep things professional please.

If you are a little worried about your maths this semester, perhaps after the Quick Test or in general, I would just like to remind you about the Academic Learning Centre. Most students received slips detailing areas of maths that they should brush up on. The timetable is here.
