Have been emailed to you,

## Week 6

We finished Chapter 2 by looking at Determinants and Cramer’s Rule. Ye did an example in class, video here: Cramer’s Rule Example

The new material was recorded here.

We had about 90 minutes of tutorial time looking at Chapter 2.

## Homework/Study

How much time you put into homework is up to you: of course the more time you put in the better but we all have competing interests. I strongly recommend that you do some exercises every week. Please feel free to ask me questions about the exercises via email, or even better on this webpage.

I would invite you to look at the following exercises:

• P. 73, Q. 1-4,
• P. 77, Q. 2
• P. 80, Q. 1-3
• P. 86, Q. 1-4
• P. 92, Q. 1-3
• p. 102, Q. 1-6

Harder:

• P. 73, Q. 5
• P. 80, Q. 5

Revision:

• P. 77, Q. 1
• P. 80, Q. 4
• P. 86, Q. 5-6
• P. 102, Q. 7-10

In addition, you can hand up your work in class and I will have it correct for the week after.

## Week 7

In Week 7 we will do a matrices Concept MCQ and then do a quick revision of differentiation.  If you want to look ahead here are two videos:

Then we will look at Parametric Differentiation.

## Outlook

For most students, Chapters 1 and 2 are easier and you will want to do well on them. Things are going to get a little harder for the rest of the semester and you will want to try and do homework (see below) regularly.

## Tuesday 17 March 2020, Week 8

This class is postponed to the same time and room, but Wednesday 18 March.

## Test 2

Test 2, worth 15% and based on Chapter 3, will probably take place Week 11.

## Study

Please feel free to ask me questions about the exercises via email or even better on this webpage.
